		TIP WHEN BUYING  A STARTED OR FINISHED/TRAINED STOCKDOG.  TIP #1  Stand still, and do not move.  Give the dog left command (come  by) or the right command (away to me). If the dog executes, the chances are good that the dog has sufficient training.  The trainer should not hesitate to do this for you during his demonstration. TIP #2  Do not be fooled by a dog that can go some distance and pick up dog broke cattle.On an average you can show a dog (even a 6mo. old pup)where they are three times, and he/she will go and get them from then on.  This is not a started dog.  A started dog needs a mimiumn of 45-60 days of training.  BEWARE of anyone who will not guarantee their dogs!
